Now that's shocking!

For our first hands-on electricity lesson, each pair of students was given a bulb, 2 AA batteries in switch, a screwdriver and spare wire.
Their task - to make the lightbulb go!
There was a hive of activity and extreme concentration in the room until Breea yelled out "I did it!"
Around the room there were flashes of light as the bulbs flickered on (it helps if you put the batteries in eh Ella and Grace!)
The next challenge - can you make two light bulbs go?
Pairs got together to work this out, and in the final minute of the session one group had 5 light bulbs working off 2 AA batteries.
