World War One Presentation

Room 5 had the privilege of listening to Neil Frances from Wairarapa Archives come and speak about World War 1. As part of the presentation, the students got to crunch through hardtack biscuits, try on a helmet and hold a replica Lee Enfield rifle, with a real bayonet! This was an amazing experience for the students and a great lead-in to our upcoming trip to Te Papa and the Great War Exhibition. Thanks to Wairarapa REAP for organising this.
